49. Should I Use Tasks Or Flags?
Flag for simple reminders
Consider using a Flag instead of a Task when you want to quickly set a simple reminder (it’s a
click). Outlook 2003/7Flags have the added feature of six colour options (then test your memory
on what importance you have placed for each!)
Flags are based on an existing item (Email, Task, Contact, Appointment.) Tasks can be created
new and can stand alone.
Bonus 1: Add your own words to a follow-up flag for a new email. Click the Message Flag button and then type the
text you want in the Flag to: box.
